Project at a glance
Plant systematics and biodiversity
Understanding the diversification of species and their evolutionary history at both intra- and interspecific levels. Research themes encompass species phylogeography with conservation applications as well as species delimitation and relationships in different plant groups (Sapotaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Ulmaceae) using molecular markers, morphology and anatomy. Using diverse molecular tools from microsatellites genotyping to next generation sequencing and target capture of genes. Working on fresh specimens and herbarium samples (Museomics) to access and analyse historical collections.
