iGE3 PhD salary awards – 4th edition
We are happy to announce the 4th round of the iGE3 PhD Salary Awards.
The award consists of a salary stipend given competitively to graduate students working in the laboratories of iGE3 faculty members, for projects with a strong genetics or genomics component. The graduate students have to be in the 2nd or 3rd year of their studies.
One application per laboratory is accepted, and students from laboratories with awardees from 2015 are not eligible.
The salaries are provided for 2 years, non-renewable. The funding covers a 70% assistant position (A2) according to the current regulations of the University of Geneva.
4 PhD awards could be given in the first phase of this doctoral training support after a selection made by an external (non-UNIGE) advisory board.
The winners of this 4th edition are:
- Claire Chevalier – Mirko Trajkovski Group, Faculty of Medicine
- Kamila Delaney – Florian Steiner Group, Faculty of Science
- Polina Oberst – Denis Jabaudon Group, Faculty of Medicine
- Nenad Suknovic – Brigitte Galliot Group, Faculty of Science
The winners have presented their project at the 5th iGE3 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
Their contracts have started on Thursday, December 1, 2016, and the stipends should be acknowledged in publications as iGE3 PhD Student Awards.
