iGE3 education program
Goals of iGE3 regarding teaching
• Genetics/genomics in the University of Geneva.
• Master’s degree in genetic/genomic sciences.
• Participation in the PhD programs of the University of Geneva.
• Continuation of the PhD program created by the former NCCR Frontiers in Genetics and expansion of its specificities
towards genomic sciences.
A specific iGE3 PhD program started in September 2013 with the launch of the PhD student salary awards, consisting of a salary stipend given competitively to graduate students working in the laboratories of iGE3 faculty members, for projects with a strong genetics or genomics component. 6 PhD awards could be given during this 1st edition.
A 2nd round of PhD salary awards was held in summer and fall 2014. 4 additional graduate students have been awarded at the end of the selection process.
The 3rd round of the PhD salary awards was held in summer and fall 2015. 7 graduate students could be awarded during this 2015 edition.
The 4th round of the PhD salary awards was held in summer and fall 2016. 4 graduate students could be awarded in 2016, and their contracts have started on December 1, 2016.
The 5th session of the PhD salary awards has started. Up to 6 students should be awarded at the end of the selection process.
