Project at a glance

Our research focuses on Staphylococcus aureus, a micro-organism causing acute and chronic infections in humans.

The Genomic Research Laboratory investigates mechanisms of Staphylococcus aureus biofilm formation, intracellular survival, and antibiotic resistance utilizing genomic technologies including microarrays, high-throughput sequencing, bioinformatics, and genetic screens. The laboratory also develops metagenomics methods and applies them to medical research and diagnostic applications.
