The laboratory investigates cellular communication and coordination mechanisms enabling regeneration of lost body parts into original form using quantitative approaches at physics-biology interface. Primary model is zebrafish scale, studied through live imaging with high-sensitivity sensors. Research monitors signals, forces and cell dynamics at subcellular and tissue-wide resolution to reveal cell coordination mechanisms in regenerating tissue morphogenesis with potential applications across multicellular contexts.
