Project at a glance
Computational population genetics / genomics
The group specializes in computational methods to examine how evolutionary forces shape molecular diversity. Primary research areas include inferring human history through genetic analysis with emphasis on European populations, developing spatially-explicit simulations for ancient genetic data from fossils, modeling hybridization within population dynamics frameworks, and distinguishing demographic effects from natural selection in molecular diversity patterns.
