Project at a glance
Epigenetic control of developmental processes
Understanding how epigenetic information, particularly 3D genome organization in human and mouse, instructs organ and structure development during embryogenesis. The group uses state-of-the-art technologies in pluripotent stem cells and in vivo embryogenesis to map and functionally disrupt chromatin states. This research aims to elucidate molecular mechanisms underlying pathological gene misregulation in congenital malformations and cancer, as well as mechanisms enabling evolutionary novelties and life diversity.
