Brain micro-biopsies for in vivo longitudinal investigation of compulsion in a model of addiction
I feel sincerely honored and profoundly grateful that my application was chosen for the iGE3 PhD salary award. This is a great source of motivation to keep striving and working hard to push my research project forward. I will make the best of this opportunity to pursue, with even more dedication, my investigations on the transcriptomic and epigenetic basis of addiction vulnerability.
I want to deeply thank the IGE3 committee for placing its trust in me and for providing such opportunity and support every year. I also want to express sincerely my gratitude to my supervisor Christian Lüscher for giving me the opportunity to work in his lab on such a fascinating and crucial subject, and for being such a good mentor and support.
My thanks also go to all my lab members that are a real source of inspiration in my continuous professional and personal growth.

I am very grateful to the iGE3 committee for selecting me for this student salary award. This award encourages me to continue pursue my PhD on the direction of understanding the genetics underlying Hydra regeneration.

Title of PhD project
Intrinsic and extrinsic control of progenitor transcriptional dynamics in the developing thalamus
I feel deeply honored to receive this prestigious award. I want to express my gratitude to the executive and external advisory boards of the Institute of Genetics and Genomics of Geneva for giving me this great opportunity that will allow me to pursue my project on transcriptional heterogeneity of the developing thalamic progenitors and the epigenetic mechanisms leading to their final neuronal fates.
This work will, I hope, contribute to a better understanding of genomics aspects in neuroscience, an objective now reachable thanks to the trust that IGE3 committee members have placed in me and my project.
Finally, I would like to thank my mentors and supervisors Pierre Fabre and Denis Jabaudon as well as my colleagues for their teaching, advices and support that prepared me to meet the challenges of this exciting scientific odyssey.

Synthesis and salvage of vitamins B5 and B6 by Toxoplasma gondii
I am very grateful to have received the IGE3 PhD salary award. I am very excited to continue my studies on the protozoan parasite Toxoplasma gondii under the supervision of Prof. Dominique Soldati-Favre.
Thanks to genome-wide forward genetic screens, I will be able to identify vitamin transporters essential for the establishment of Toxoplasma infection.
This award gives me confidence in the quality of my research and of my ideas, and will be essential for the development of my scientific career.
