Swiss Genomics Forum 2021

Organized by the Health 2030 Genome Center

The second Swiss Genomics Forum will be held online on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 10 h to 15 h 30 at the Campus Biotech in Geneva. It will bring together researchers, clinicians, patient communities, and other stakeholder groups to meet and discuss the future of genomics.

As genome analysis becomes commonplace in research and clinics around the world, Switzerland has much to offer in terms of scientific strength, quality of its healthcare system (including universal coverage), and detailed patient phenotyping.

The Health 2030 Genome Center receives
ISO 15189 accreditation

For sequencing-based genomic and transcriptomic tests

The Health 2030 Genome Center has received the ISO 15189:2013 certification for medical laboratories from the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) for its human whole-genome sequencing, whole-exome sequencing, and transcriptome RNA sequencing assays. This certification allows the Genome Center to perform these assays on nucleic acid samples provided by hospitals, clinics, research institutions, and research organizations.

This accreditation is unique among Swiss public institutions in its broad focus on methods appropriate for a wide range of diseases rather than one or a few specific diseases.
